A good pair is harder than it looks.
Earrings are bought as a pair and judged as a pair, two stones that match in colour, cut, and life, sitting at the same angle on two different ears. That matching is where cheap pairs fall apart, and it is the first thing Taylor checks before anything earns a spot in the case.
The case runs from everyday diamond studs and huggies to one-of-a-kind drops from the Designed by Taylor bench and ruby pairs from the Inner Fire Collection, plus estate pairs priced well below new.
Posts, hinges, and backs are the quiet failure points, so we check them at the bench and can upgrade any pair to locking or screw-backs before it leaves.
Both stones compared side by side under real light, colour, cut, and life, not just carat weight.
Posts and hinges checked at the bench; locking or screw-back upgrades available on any pair.
14k gold posts and settings, no plated brass that irritates ears or wears through.
Free cleaning any day we are open, plus prong checks and repairs at the same bench.
Diamond studs are a once-a-decade buy. Buy them right.
The trick with studs is that nobody reads the certificate on your ear, they see brightness and size. That is why we match pairs by eye, and why lab-grown diamonds are worth an honest look here: the same budget buys a visibly bigger, brighter pair.
Prefer natural stones? We will pull both and let your eye decide. Either way the setting is solid gold and the backs will not let go.

Buying earrings, answered
What size diamond studs should I buy? +
One carat total weight is the classic everyday size; two reads as an occasion. The honest answer is to try both on, proportions to the ear matter more than the number, and that takes thirty seconds at the counter.
I keep losing earrings. What backs should I use? +
Screw-backs or locking La Pousette backs, we can retrofit either onto most studs at the bench, usually same-day. For valuable pairs it is the cheapest insurance there is, alongside an actual insurance appraisal.
Lab-grown or natural for studs? +
Studs are where lab-grown makes the strongest case, size and brightness read from across the room, certificates do not. If the rarity of natural diamonds matters to you, we will match a beautiful natural pair instead. No steering either way.
I lost one earring. Is the other one useless? +
Not at all. The bench can build a matching twin through custom work, or convert the survivor into a pendant. Bring it in and we will price both routes honestly.
How do I keep earrings clean? +
Earrings collect more skin oil than any other piece, which dulls a diamond fast. Warm water and a soft brush at home helps, but the real fix is easy, cleaning is free here , every day we are open, and we check the prongs while we are at it.
