Pre-owned is not a compromise here.
Every piece in this case crossed Taylor's bench before it crossed the counter: diamonds tested and weighed, gold assayed, watches opened, inspected, and serviced where needed. If a piece could not be brought back to honest condition, it is not here.
That is the difference between estate jewelry from a jeweler and pre-owned from a pawn shop, you get the piece, its real condition in writing, and a bench that stands behind it with free cleaning and repairs for as long as you own it.
And if a setting is right but the details are not, the bench upstairs can resize, reset, or fully reimagine it around your taste.
Diamonds tested, gold assayed, watch movements opened and verified, before anything is listed.
Prongs retipped, clasps rebuilt, movements serviced, honest condition, stated in writing.
Estate pricing means more diamond, more gold, and more watch for the same budget.
Estate pieces cannot be reordered. When it sells, that is the end of it.
Have pieces you never wear? Put them to work.
Jewelry in a drawer earns nothing. Through consignment, your pieces sit in our lit cases in front of real buyers, and you get paid when they sell, usually far more than a gold buyer would offer.
Prefer not to wait? Trade value toward something new, or have the stones remade into a piece you will actually wear. We will lay out what each route is worth, and a written appraisal can anchor the conversation.

Estate & consignment, answered
How do I know a pre-owned watch is genuine? +
Every watch is opened and inspected before it is listed, movement, case, and serial numbers verified, and serviced in-house where needed. Box and papers are noted in the listing when present.
What does consigning my jewelry cost? +
Nothing up front. We agree on a price together, your piece goes in the case, and we take a percentage only when it sells. The full terms are on our consignment page , in plain language.
Can an estate ring be resized or reset? +
Almost always, standard sizing is included and done at our bench. If you love the stone but not the setting, custom design can rebuild it around the same diamond, often using the original gold.
Is estate jewelry a good value? +
Usually the best in the store. Pre-owned pieces skip the new-retail markup, so the same budget buys noticeably more diamond and gold. The trade-off is selection, it is one of each, and the good ones go fast.
Should an estate purchase be appraised? +
For insurance, yes, especially since an estate piece often cannot be replaced like-for-like. We prepare written appraisals on-site, often before the piece leaves the store.
